Fairmont Century Plaza

The room was great and the property was beautiful. There were also some really kind staff members. Considering this is a 5-star hotel I was really surprised to not receive housekeeping even once on a 3 night stay. This meant my coffee wasn’t refilled and I had to reuse towels. After requesting some items with the front desk, nobody ever showed up with them as they said they would over the phone. On top of that, there were obnoxiously loud protesters in the lobby that disturbed the peace for the entirety of my stay. I’m sure there are laws that protect protesters, but to allow them INSIDE the hotel property while making so much noise (drumming and screaming all day) is baffling to me. All things added up, this was a pretty awful stay and I’ll be looking elsewhere for future business visits.

Gold Lounge was the best decison to start off. Checked us in Super early Todd was Amazing & every person working around the gold lounge. I am a foodie but stay away from added sugars & a healthier eater... Breakfast each morning was amazing. Greek day & the avocado toast food days were my favorite out of the 3 night stay. They have plenty of selection & have I loved the healthy selection & the other goodies. Fresh rasberry, black berries, strawberries & blueberrys. Chia seed's with dired coconut, blanched almonds fresh pineapple & no added sugar. Some people ordered scrambled eggs fresh & rotating specials. Freshly baked pastries from Lumiere. They really nail breakfast. Midday there's candies available & a wide range of beverages set out. Dinner time is again really incredible & loved having healthy options alongside decadent items so it was easy to find a blanced plate. The Asian night was also very tasty but could have used maybe a steamed veggie dish option that night but that was the only night they didn't put a veggie dish out at dinner but still they offered a large Crudite Platter to us after I mentioned it. Gold Lounge food is compleatly worth it especially on Avocado toast day. I'd definitely stay gold lounge again. Now the SPA the Oasis Gold lounge allows for complimentry access & OMG wonderful. The treatment was wonderful. This was a Dreamlike stay from begining to end. Exellent team working at Fairmont CC & the Spa & Gold lounge took it to another level of a holiday stay. Can't wait to be back, hopefully soon!

This hotel is overpriced, charging the same as the Waldorf and Maybourne and yet it’s a business hotel in a business district, not a lifestyle hotel. It was a pleasant stay but even location aside, it does not justify the price. The rooms are very typical and don’t really exude luxury. It is almost identical to the room layout of any AC by Marriott hotel, except with a nicer bathroom. Even the way the bed and TV are set up, the in-a-drawer mini fridge, and the sliding door… maybe the designer is the same, but AC is 1/10 of the cost of the Fairmont. The room service breakfast was decent but variable in quality - from day to day it was better or worse. The shower was a mystery to operate and I never figured it out completely. The mini-fridge drawer was loud and I had to unplug it every night to sleep. The service was excellent, though. So overall, it was fine, but nowhere near the Waldorf or Maybourne in luxury or location and yet it charges just as much.
